I love hearing how other people make the coauthor relationship work! When MarcyKate Connolly and I cowrote The Thirteenth Circle, we used a shared Scrivener doc in a shared Dropbox folder, and we alternated writing times: I had access to the document before noon, and she had it after lunch. So we were always writing back and forth, instead of in tandem. I'd love to try your method sometime in the future!

Do you think Jodi's experience being a co-author was helpful? I mean, I'm sure it was, so maybe the question is more like, how much do you think her experience contributed to the success of the project? Could two newbies have figured it out? (assuming they'd read your posts, of course ;) )
