Second chance romance are my favorite, favorite thing, so keep the candle burning on that one PLEASE!! And on all of these, because they all sound fantastic!! Good luck. We got this.
I have such a sweet spot for second chance romances, too. Nothing like a couple with history!! Thank you for the cheerleading. It definitely helps keep me motivated :)
This was a fun update! Thanks for sharing it. Been curious about what you might be working on. My wife and I co-wrote a manuscript for an adult fantasy many years ago, and it was a lot of fun. We did have some arguments (one was hilariously absurd after we resolved it), but most of the experience was fun, almost like having a third child. I think the part I enjoyed most was getting to throw things into the story she didn’t know I was planning to do (and vice versa). We actually wrote two manuscripts, but the first one wasn’t publishable (the bright side was that it let us figure out our method for writing together). We got to the point of an agent looking at the full manuscript, but then got ghosted. We’ve been talking about revisiting that manuscript and updating it, possibly indie publishing it.
I've only co-written with this one author so far, but finding out our unique process and what works for us has been a really fun part of the experience.
I'm sorry to hear that an agent ghosted you! That's incredibly frustrating. It's nice to know that the manuscript is in your back pocket though, and that you can return to it at any point, if you decide :)
As a horror writer and reader and fanatic your Cabin idea already has me HOOKED!!! I’ve been a reader of yours since Frozen and I’m always curious about what you have coming next.
Very interested in the horror/thriller! I love any update from you, tbh. I follow a lot of author newsletters and while I understand focusing only on the things that turn out right, I like your honesty a lot, mostly because writing can be very lonely and publishing almost a mirage, but at the end of the day... if you love something, you keep on doing it. So any update is a welcome update. Have a nice day!
Reminds me I should probably do an update on my projects. Anyway, your City and Cabin projects sound interesting. Hopefully you can figure a way to get Timeloop project published. It sounds like a very fascinating story. It is encouraging to me to see what other people are doing and how they over struggles.

That book sounds so wholesome. Would you ever consider to publish it on your own if it dies on submission?
Maybe. It’s something I need to think about a bit more and also discuss with my agent.

Thank you so much, Cherokee.

Thanks, Laura. I agree; writing can definitely be lonely at times. Thank goodness for the technology, which lets us connect digitally.
Project Orchard sounds like autumn perfection. I hope it makes its way into the world because I’d love to read it!
I like reading author updates about projects.
